Fujitsu

Headquartered in Tokyo, Fujitsu is a leading Japanese information and communication technology (ICT) company, offering a full range of technology products, solutions and services. In 1935, Fuji Tsushinki Manufacturing Corporation was established. In 1954, Fujitsu developed Japan's first relay-type electronic computer, the FACOM 100. In 1967, the company’s name was officially changed to Fujitsu. Today, Fujitsu is the world's fourth-largest IT services provider and No.1 in Japan. Now it is a Fortune 500 company. Fujitsu is among the world's top five providers of servers and PCs. It used to be the world’s second largest manufacturer of enterprise hard disk drives (Fujitsu transferred its hard disk drive (HDD) business to Toshiba Corporation in 2009) and the fourth largest manufacturer of hard disk drives. Fujitsu holds 32,000 parented technologies and was among the top ten owners of patents in the US in 2005.
